No eviction tonight — this was the series debut of *Big Brother: Unlocked*, the Friday companion show.
The premiere had ended on a cliffhanger and a corpse. Rachel Reilly, in the house as a Time Trip cameo rather than a houseguest, got chased into a volcano by a velociraptor, and Julie Chen Moonves confirmed her "untimely demise." That left the season one returning alum short — and Unlocked existed to explain what Julie did about it.
She went and got a replacement. Julie sent herself through the Dining Table Time Machine to December 20, 2023 — the night Dee Valladares won Survivor 45 — and brought her back. The season's mystery third alum, revealed on a companion show four days into the game.
The episode also finally rolled the footage the premiere had frozen: teams of four balancing a suspended stacking platform on ropes while their icon built a fire-themed puzzle, with Dee's team finishing it. And Jason De Puy used his time to say he's playing BB28 as himself — Salina EsTitties stays at the door.
By the end of the night the first nominations were set and the feeds were live. The companion show had done exactly what it was built for: hand the audience the twist the main broadcast didn't have room for.
