Eviction Night
No eviction tonight — but the final five got a lot smaller in spirit. Sunday was pure setup, and Rick Devens turned it into a one-man coronation.
It opened on the Pharaoh's Treasure: a secret button that would pay $10,000 to one houseguest — or split it across the house if nobody was greedy enough to claim it. Devens was. He pressed it, pocketed the ten grand solo, and in doing so unleashed the Pharaoh's Curse on everyone else: an extra Egyptian-themed elimination this week in which only the HOH and the Veto winner are guaranteed safe. Then, because the universe rewards nerve on this show, he went out and won the HOH too.
The competition — 'Reverse the Curse' — was a marathon. Four hours of stacking sacred treasure piece by piece, the longest comp of the season, and it ended not in a collapse but in Devens carefully finishing his tomb while the rest of the five ran out of gas. HOH key and curse immunity in the same night. He's locked into the final four and untouchable for exactly one week.
The fallout was immediate. Taylor broke down over Yash's eviction and, between tears, named herself the next one out — a read nobody in the room bothered to argue with. Melody, last week's double-HOH hero, quietly admitted Taylor was the nomination she should have made. Drew spent the night lobbying his own allies not to put him up, reminding everyone he saved Dee and voted as asked; Devens listened and filed him under flight risk. And Dee did what Dee does — nothing loud, nothing risky, three weeks on the block behind her and still very much alive.
The nomination ceremony didn't air. The block locks Wednesday, and with the curse in play, one of these five is gone before the week is out — no matter who's holding the veto.
