No eviction tonight — this was *Big Brother: Unlocked*, the Friday companion show, cleaning up after the loudest hour of the season.
Jerry O'Connell and Derrick Levasseur took the desk with BB26 winner Chelsie Baham and special guest James Gunn, and for once the companion show had more than enough to talk about. Thursday had taken the house from seven to five in a single hour.
Barrett Pfeiffer went first, 3–1. Melody Morris ripped herself off the block by winning the final BB Block Buster of BB28, which left Barrett and Taylor Brown sitting there — and Devens, Dee and Drew all sent Barrett out, with Melody the lone vote the other way. Then Melody did the thing nobody had seen coming twice: she won the next HOH too, the first houseguest all season to take a Block Buster and an HOH back-to-back, and she put both remaining Icons on the block.
Devens got out of it the way he always does. He won the veto and pulled himself down — the third time this season he has taken himself off the block under his own power, after Block Busters in Weeks 9 and 10 — and Melody named Yash Patel as the replacement. Yash left 2–1, ten minutes after Barrett, with Taylor the only vote to keep him.
So the panel sat down in front of a final five: Devens, Dee, Drew, Melody and Taylor — two Icons, three newbies, and a Drew-and-Devens pair that the other three now have to solve before it solves them.
And then the part that actually costs money. The BB Awards were handed out on America's vote, and Unlocked opened the one that matters: the vote for America's Favorite Houseguest is live. That is a real fantasy line item — AFP is worth +5 on the board and it does not settle until the finale on October 1. If your team still has a name in this house, this is the fortnight to go be loud about it.
