No eviction tonight — this was veto night, and the alliance that runs the house spent it eating its own.
The Power of Veto came wrapped in spandex. "Feel the Burn" dropped the house into a 1980s workout video: Drew and Angela went out in the first round on the fewest reps of the "booty scooty," Dee fell in the second on the hip-to-hip extreme machine, and LaTrice Verrett closed it out on the "totally tubular tonguetwister" — working a lever with her tongue and nothing else. Two weeks after becoming the oldest houseguest ever to win the Wall, LaLa won the one comp she actually needed.
She used it on herself, which left Dee Valladares holding a decision she had spent all week trying to avoid. Dee had already put Drew Campbell and Taylor Brown on the block — two names from inside the seven-person bloc she'd only just joined — and the veto forced her to add a third. She passed over Yash, quietly protected by the deal she'd bought with her BB Bribe, and named Mallory Aurichio. "It's nothing personal," she told her, framing it as breaking up For the American People rather than aiming at anyone. Two of the four ex-F.A.P. members are now sitting on the block, put there by the alliance that absorbed them.
Mallory did not take the framing. She went from "completely dumbfounded" to screaming that she hated Dee and that "the Survivor players are the worst allies ever" — and admitted out loud that throwing the HOH had been the worst decision of her game.
The rest of the night was the house tearing at its own story. Drew accused Taylor and LaLa of planning to nominate the icons, insisting "I'm only telling the 'drewth'" — and Barrett and Yash partly backed him up. LaLa denied naming anyone but Devens and called Drew "a sneaky little liar." Taylor cornered Dee and Angela over her own nomination, got told that other houseguests had been saying her name, and went downstairs to ask Melody whether she was the one saying it.
The block is Drew, Taylor and Mallory, the Mosh Pit has two of its own in the chairs, and nobody has committed a vote out loud.
